What happens after you send it
Your request goes to a coordinator, not a queue. We check whether the destination has a rule that has to be dealt with before loading, such as an import permit, a pre-shipment inspection or a vehicle age limit, because those are the things that strand cargo at a port. Then we price the route and send it back in writing with every charge listed.
What helps us quote faster
Rough weight and dimensions, what the cargo actually is, and the delivery town rather than just the country. The town matters more than people expect: on a large country the inland leg can cost more than the sailing, and choosing the right arrival port is how we keep that down. If you are shipping a vehicle, send the make, model, year and chassis number, because several countries set an age limit and a few want the paperwork approved before the ship loads.
