to Russia.

We ship from Dubai and from anywhere in the UAE to Russia, by sea, by air and by road, door to door. We carry business and personal cargo, and we handle the freight forwarding and customs paperwork ourselves. We check every shipment carefully before we accept it, and we tell you clearly at the start what we can and cannot carry, so nothing is a surprise later.

Overview

Sea, rail and air freight
to Russia.

Shipping from Dubai to Russia takes about 25 to 45 days by sea and 3 to 7 days by air. Sea goes to Novorossiysk on the Black Sea for Moscow and the south, or to St Petersburg for the northwest. Air reaches Moscow, St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Kazan. From there we deliver to every city, including Moscow, St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Samara, Ufa and Vladivostok. Before we quote we check the goods, the buyer and the end use against the rules that apply to us, and we tell you straight away if we cannot carry something. Navo Shipping handles the sea freight, air freight and customs clearance on the Dubai to Russia route, door to door. Tell us what you are sending and where it is going and we will come back quickly.

Ports and gateways

Sea ports and airports
we ship to from Dubai.

Every bill of lading carries two ports: where the cargo loads, and where it discharges. We load at Jebel Ali or another UAE port. Russia has 14 sea ports we use and ten airports. They suit different cargo and different inland legs, so the loading port and the discharge port are worth choosing separately.

  1. POLPort of loading

We collect anywhere in the UAE, free zones included, and load at whichever of these eight suits the cargo.

    • Port RashidAEPRA
    • Khalifa PortAEKHL
    • Zayed PortAEAUH

    • Port of FujairahAEFJR
    • Ajman PortAEAJM
  2. PODPort of discharge

The right one is whichever leaves the shortest inland leg to your delivery address. On a long lane that leg is a shipment in its own right, so it is planned rather than assumed.

    • NovorossiyskRUNVSSea port · Black SeaThe main container gateway, serving Moscow, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and the south
How cargo reaches Novorossiysk Shipping from Dubai to Novorossiysk runs from Jebel Ali through the Strait of Hormuz and the Suez Canal into the Black Sea. Transit is 25 to 45 days port to port, or 40 to 60 days door to door into Moscow. Most sailings transship once, which is where the spread comes from. Sea freight is the cheapest way into Russia and is priced per container. Novorossiysk gives the shortest inland leg to Moscow and southern Russia. Get a rate for Novorossiysk
    • St PetersburgRULEDSea port · Baltic SeaThe northwest, and Moscow by rail
How cargo reaches St Petersburg Shipping from Dubai to St Petersburg sails from Jebel Ali through the Suez Canal and the Mediterranean, then around Europe into the Baltic Sea. It is a longer voyage than the Black Sea route, so we confirm the days when we quote. Pricing is per container, on the same sea freight basis as Novorossiysk. Choose St Petersburg for northwest Russia, or when a Baltic service fits your schedule. Get a rate for St Petersburg
    • Ust-LugaRUULUSea port · Baltic SeaLarge-volume and bulk traffic west of St Petersburg
How cargo reaches Ust-Luga Shipping from Dubai to Ust-Luga runs from Jebel Ali through the Mediterranean into the Baltic Sea, west of St Petersburg. Ust-Luga handles large-volume and bulk cargo. Routing and transit are confirmed per booking. Cost is built like any sea freight movement from Jebel Ali: origin charges, freight per container, destination handling, then the inland leg. Get a rate for Ust-Luga
    • AstrakhanRUASFSea port · Caspian SeaThe INSTC corridor entry point
How cargo reaches Astrakhan Shipping from Dubai to Astrakhan runs on the INSTC corridor rather than through the Suez Canal: Jebel Ali to Bandar Abbas by sea, overland through Iran, across the Caspian, then inland by rail or road. That routing is suspended for cargo leaving the UAE. Since 19 August 2026 the UAE has halted all trade, commercial exchanges and financial transactions with Iran until further notice, and the corridor crosses Iran. We are not booking it while that stands. Ask us and we will confirm the current position and quote the Black Sea route instead. Get a rate for Astrakhan
    • VladivostokRUVVOSea port · Sea of JapanThe Far East and the Trans-Siberian connection
How cargo reaches Vladivostok Shipping from Dubai to Vladivostok sails east from Jebel Ali through the Indian Ocean and an Asian transhipment hub into the Sea of Japan. Times vary from ship to ship, so we confirm the days when we quote. Pricing is per container on the sea freight basis. Vladivostok suits cargo for eastern Russia only. For anywhere west of the Urals, the inland leg costs more than the sea route saves. Get a rate for Vladivostok
    • VostochnyRUVYPSea port · Sea of JapanDeep-water container terminal near Nakhodka
How cargo reaches Vostochny Shipping from Dubai to Vostochny follows the same eastern routing as Vladivostok, from Jebel Ali into the Sea of Japan. Vostochny is a deep-water container terminal near Nakhodka. We confirm the days when we quote and pricing is per container. It is worth asking about when Vladivostok is congested, or when your cargo needs a deep-water berth. Get a rate for Vostochny
    • KaliningradRUKGDSea port · Baltic SeaThe Kaliningrad exclave
How cargo reaches Kaliningrad Shipping from Dubai to Kaliningrad runs from Jebel Ali through the Mediterranean into the Baltic Sea. Kaliningrad is a Russian exclave with no land border to the rest of Russia, so the onward leg is planned as its own movement. Routing and transit are confirmed per booking. Pricing is per container on the sea freight basis. Get a rate for Kaliningrad
    • MurmanskRUMMKSea port · Barents SeaThe Arctic northwest; ice-free year round
How cargo reaches Murmansk Shipping from Dubai to Murmansk runs from Jebel Ali into the Barents Sea, serving the Arctic northwest. Murmansk is ice-free all year, which is the main reason to use it. Routing and transit are confirmed per booking, and pricing is per container. Send the commodity and delivery address and we will confirm whether it beats a Baltic routing. Get a rate for Murmansk
    • MakhachkalaRUMCXSea port · Caspian SeaDagestan, and the INSTC corridor alongside Astrakhan
How cargo reaches Makhachkala Shipping from Dubai to Makhachkala can only use a lawful, approved multimodal corridor into the Caspian port, because the usual Iran transit cannot be offered while UAE to Iran trade is suspended. Times vary from ship to ship, so we confirm the days when we quote. Nakhodka is the maritime alternative for Far East cargo, while air to Moscow may suit urgent lawful shipments. The quote combines ocean freight, any relay or specialist leg, terminal handling, clearance and inland delivery. Get a rate for Makhachkala
    • Rostov-on-DonRUROVSea port · River Don, Sea of AzovThe southern agricultural and industrial belt
How cargo reaches Rostov-on-Don Shipping from Dubai to Rostov-on-Don requires a specialist, sanctions cleared Black Sea and Azov arrangement rather than a standard container booking. Times vary from ship to ship, so we confirm the days when we quote. Taganrog is the nearby Azov alternative, while Tuapse avoids the river approach but mainly serves specialist cargo. The quote combines ocean freight, any relay or specialist leg, terminal handling, clearance and inland delivery. Get a rate for Rostov-on-Don
    • TaganrogRUTAGSea port · Sea of AzovThe Azov coast, as the alternative to Rostov

    • TuapseRUTUASea port · Black SeaThe Krasnodar region, south of Novorossiysk
How cargo reaches Tuapse Shipping from Dubai to Tuapse uses a specialist Black Sea vessel or project cargo arrangement after sanctions, port and insurance approval, because a regular Dubai container service is not established. Times vary from ship to ship, so we confirm the days when we quote. Rostov-on-Don is closer to the southern interior, while Nakhodka is better placed for the Far East. The quote combines ocean freight, any relay or specialist leg, terminal handling, clearance and inland delivery. Get a rate for Tuapse
    • ArkhangelskRUARHSea port · White SeaThe Arctic northwest, seasonal on ice conditions
How cargo reaches Arkhangelsk Shipping from Dubai to Arkhangelsk requires a specialist northern vessel plan with ice season, draft, cargo and sanctions approval rather than a standard container booking. Times vary from ship to ship, so we confirm the days when we quote. St Petersburg is the practical northwest alternative for more regular facilities, subject to the same compliance screening. The quote combines ocean freight, any relay or specialist leg, terminal handling, clearance and inland delivery. Get a rate for Arkhangelsk
    • NakhodkaRUNJKSea port · Sea of JapanThe Far East, alongside Vostochny

Before you ship

Import rules
for Russia.

Russia has two parts to it and we are straightforward about both. First, before we quote, we check the goods, the buyer and what the goods will be used for against the international rules that apply to us. A lot of ordinary commercial cargo is fine. Some things we cannot carry, and we will tell you that at the start. Second, many products need an EAC mark, which is the safety approval used across the customs union. It has to be arranged before the goods arrive, and it covers things like electrical goods, machinery and toys. Tell us what you are sending and we will give you a clear answer quickly.

Documentation

Documents you need
for Russia.

These 8 cover most shipments to Russia. The exact list depends on the commodity and its HS code, so send us both and we confirm what applies before the cargo is booked.

  • 01Invoice showing what you paid for the goods
  • 02Packing list showing what is inside
  • 03Certificate of origin showing where the goods were made
  • 04Bill of lading, air waybill or road manifest
  • 05Dubai export paper, which we do for you
  • 06EAC certificate or declaration, if your product needs one
  • 07Screening checks, which we complete before we accept the booking
  • 08The Russian buyer company and tax details

Get the paperwork right in Dubai and clearance at destination is routine. Fixing a document after arrival is slow, and storage accrues the whole time it takes.

Questions

Cargo to Russia
questions, answered.

The 16 we are asked most on the Dubai to Russia route. If yours is not here, send it with the commodity and we will answer it directly.

Can you ship my car from Dubai to Russia?

Yes. The car goes inside a container, sealed and protected, and we handle the export paperwork in Dubai. Russia sets its own rules on vehicle specification, age and certification, and duty on a vehicle is worked out differently from general cargo, so tell us the make, model and year first and we will confirm what applies before you commit.

Do you offer movers and packers for a house move from Dubai to Russia?

Yes. Our movers and packers do the packing, wrapping and listing, then we ship your furniture and household goods in a full container, or share one if you have less to send. The item by item list matters, because Russian customs clear personal effects against it. Fuel, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols and loose batteries cannot travel, and we give you the full list before packing day.

How long does shipping from Dubai to Russia take?

About 25 to 45 days by sea and 3 to 7 days by air. Sea is long because the ship goes a long way round to reach the Black Sea or the Baltic. We give you a date in writing when we quote.

How much does shipping from Dubai to Russia cost?

It depends on what you send, how big it is, and where in Russia it is going. We do not publish prices because every shipment is different. Sea freight to Russia is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. Air freight to Russia is priced on weight or size, whichever is greater. Send us the details and we send you a price in writing, usually the same day.

Which cities in Russia do you deliver to?

Moscow, St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Samara, Ufa, Novorossiysk, Astrakhan, Kaliningrad, Murmansk and Vladivostok, among others. Give us the address and we will quote the delivery.

Which Russian ports do you ship to?

Novorossiysk on the Black Sea is the main gateway for Moscow and the south. St Petersburg and Ust-Luga serve the northwest. Astrakhan works for the Caspian route, and Vladivostok for the Far East.

Do you check shipments before accepting them?

Yes, every time. We check the goods, the buyer and the end use against the international rules that apply to us. If we cannot carry something we say so at the start, rather than after you have committed money.

What is the EAC mark?

It is the safety approval used across the customs union that Russia belongs to. Many products need it, including electrical goods, machinery and toys. It has to be arranged before the goods arrive. Tell us the product and we will check.

Do you deliver door to door?

Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Russia door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.

Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full container?

You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Novorossiysk. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.

Can you deliver to Moscow?

Yes. Cargo normally arrives at Novorossiysk or St Petersburg and travels to Moscow by train or truck. It can clear at an inland terminal near Moscow rather than at the coast, which is usually easier.

What kinds of goods can you carry to Russia?

Ordinary commercial goods, subject to the checks we run on every shipment. Some categories we cannot carry at all. Ask us early with the product details and we will give you a clear answer.

Do you handle customs clearance in Russia?

Yes, at both ends. We handle customs clearance in Dubai and customs clearance in Russia. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.

Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?

Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. That helps when you are buying from several suppliers and want everything to travel to Novorossiysk in one container.

Can you ship machinery and heavy equipment to Russia?

Yes. We move project cargo to Russia as well. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship into Novorossiysk. Send us the size and weight and we will work out the best way to move it.

Why do you screen shipments to Russia?

Because the rules that apply to us require it, and because it protects your cargo. Getting the checks right at the start means your goods are not stopped later. We would rather turn a booking down than take one we cannot complete.
