Shipping from Dubai
to Argentina.
We ship from Dubai and from anywhere in the UAE to Argentina by sea and by air. We carry business and personal cargo. This is one of the longest lanes we run, and the rules changed in 2025 in a way most pages have not caught up with. We tell you the current position rather than the one that was true two years ago.
Overview
Sea and air freight
to Argentina.
Shipping from Dubai to Argentina takes about 53 to 63 days by sea, and 2 to 5 days by air. A current route model puts container cargo at around 52 days and 21 hours, and shared container consolidation to Buenos Aires can run to about 63 days. Buenos Aires is the main container gateway. Zarate on the Parana handles vehicles, roll-on roll-off and project cargo. Rosario is the inland river gateway for Santa Fe, Cordoba and central Argentina. Air cargo flies into Ministro Pistarini at Buenos Aires. One thing worth knowing: Argentina abolished the SEDI advance import information system in February 2025, so there is no universal pre-shipment filing any more. We deliver everywhere, including Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Rosario, Mendoza, La Plata, Tucuman, Mar del Plata and Salta. Navo Shipping handles the sea freight, air freight and customs clearance on the Dubai to Argentina route, door to door.

Ports and gateways
Ports and airports
we ship to from Dubai.
Every bill of lading carries two ports: where the cargo loads, and where it discharges. We load at Jebel Ali or another UAE port. For Argentina we fly into one airport. The discharge point and the clearance point are decided by different things, so they are worth choosing separately.
POLPort of loading
We collect anywhere in the UAE, free zones included, and load at whichever of these eight suits the cargo.

PODPort of discharge
The right one is whichever leaves the shortest inland leg to your delivery address. On a long lane that leg is a shipment in its own right, so it is planned rather than assumed.

How cargo reaches Port of Buenos Aires
Shipping from Dubai to Buenos Aires is the main route into Argentina and one of the longest we run, at around 52 days and 21 hours on a current container route model. Cargo normally needs one or more international relay connections on the way. Sea freight is priced per container on a full load and per cubic metre on a shared one, and the shared option consolidates slowly on a lane this long. How cargo reaches Port of Zarate
Shipping from Dubai to Zarate rounds the Cape of Good Hope, or transships in Europe, then comes up the Parana de las Palmas by river. It is the country's vehicle and roll on roll off port, so cars and machinery usually go here. Times vary from ship to ship, so we confirm the days when we quote. Buenos Aires is the alternative for containers. The quote separates ocean freight, transshipment, the river leg, terminal handling, customs, tax and delivery. How cargo reaches Port of Rosario
Shipping from Dubai to Rosario arrives at Buenos Aires or comes upriver on the Parana, where draft limits what a vessel can carry, so boxes often transfer to a barge or a truck. It serves Santa Fe and Cordoba. Times vary from ship to ship, so we confirm the days when we quote. Buenos Aires is the alternative. The quote separates ocean freight, port handling, the river or road leg, transit documents, customs, tax and delivery. How cargo reaches Ministro Pistarini International Airport
Air freight from Dubai to Ministro Pistarini is 2 to 5 days depending on whether the goods fly direct or connect. It is Argentina’s principal international air cargo gateway, and on a lane where sea runs to two months it deserves proper consideration. Get a rate for Ministro Pistarini International Airport

Before you ship
Import rules
for Argentina.
This is the part of the lane most pages have wrong. Argentina abolished the SEDI advance import information system in February 2025. Plenty of shipping pages and guides still tell you to obtain a SIRA or a SEDI before the goods leave Dubai. You do not, because the system no longer exists. What does still apply is commodity specific: licences, authorisations and certificates continue to operate through the single window, VUCEA, and through the customs system where a particular product needs them, and new controls have continued to be added to VUCEA during 2026. Regulated products may need approval from the food or medicines authority. So the honest answer is that ordinary goods need no universal pre-shipment reference, and controlled goods need their own approval arranged before shipment. Tell us the commodity and the HS code and we will tell you which side you are on.

Documentation
Documents you need
for Argentina.
These 9 cover most shipments to Argentina. The exact list depends on the commodity and its HS code, so send us both and we confirm what applies before the cargo is booked.
- 01Invoice showing what you paid for the goods
- 02Packing list showing what is inside
- 03Certificate of origin showing where the goods were made
- 04Bill of lading or air waybill, which is the shipping ticket
- 05Dubai export paper, which we do for you
- 06Argentine customs import declaration
- 07CUIT and importer identification for the buyer
- 08VUCEA licence or authorisation, where the commodity requires one
- 09Product-specific food, agriculture or medicines approval, where it applies
Get the paperwork right in Dubai and clearance at destination is routine. Fixing a document after arrival is slow, and storage accrues the whole time it takes.

Questions
Cargo to Argentina
questions, answered.
The 16 we are asked most on the Dubai to Argentina route. If yours is not here, send it with the commodity and we will answer it directly.
Do you offer movers and packers for a house move from Dubai to Argentina?
Yes. Our movers and packers do the packing, wrapping and listing in Dubai, then we ship your furniture and household goods in a full container, or share one if you have less to send. The item by item list matters, because customs clear personal effects against it. Fuel, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols and loose batteries cannot travel, and we give you the full list before packing day.
Do I need a SIRA or SEDI to ship to Argentina?
No. Argentina abolished the SEDI advance import information system in February 2025, and SIRA before that. A lot of pages and guides still tell you to obtain one, and they are out of date. What still applies is commodity specific: licences and authorisations continue through the single window, VUCEA, for particular products. Send us the HS code and we will tell you whether yours needs anything.
How long does shipping from Dubai to Argentina take?
Sea freight to Argentina takes about 53 to 63 days, and air freight to Argentina takes 2 to 5 days. A current route model puts container cargo at around 52 days and 21 hours, and shared container consolidation runs to about 63 days. It is one of the longest lanes we run. We give you a date in writing when we quote.
Can you ship a car from Dubai to Argentina?
Only in defined cases, so ask before you buy. Ordinary commercial import of used passenger cars is restricted in Argentina. Used vehicles can come in under specific exceptions, including qualifying people transferring residence and certain classic or special vehicle categories, and classic vehicle authorisations now run through VUCEA. Send us the make, model, year and chassis number along with your circumstances and we will tell you whether an exception applies.
How much does shipping from Dubai to Argentina cost?
It depends on what you send, how big it is, and where in Argentina it is going. We do not publish prices because every shipment is different. Sea freight to Argentina is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. On a lane this long the shared option saves money but costs weeks, so we will tell you honestly which is better. Send us the details and we send you a price in writing.
Which cities in Argentina do you deliver to?
All of them. Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Rosario, Mendoza, La Plata, San Miguel de Tucuman, Mar del Plata, Salta, Santa Fe, San Juan, Resistencia, Neuquen, Corrientes, Bahia Blanca, Posadas and Parana. Just give us the address and we bring it to the door.
Which ports in Argentina do you ship to?
Buenos Aires is the main container gateway. Zarate on the Parana handles vehicles, roll-on roll-off and project cargo. Rosario is the inland river gateway for Santa Fe, Cordoba and central Argentina. For air cargo we fly into Ministro Pistarini.
Is it worth flying instead?
On this lane, often. Air is 2 to 5 days against a sea leg that runs to two months. That is one of the widest gaps on our network, so the usual assumption that sea is obviously cheaper deserves a proper look once you count the money tied up in the cargo for eight weeks.
Do you deliver door to door?
Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Argentina door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.
Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full container?
You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. On this lane the shared option consolidates slowly and can add a week or more, so we will be straight with you about the trade off.
Does my product need a licence?
It might. Commodity specific licences and authorisations run through VUCEA, and new controls have continued to be added during 2026. Food, agricultural and medicine products can need approval from the responsible authority. Most ordinary goods do not need anything beyond the customs declaration. Send us the HS code and we will check.
Do you handle customs clearance in Argentina?
Yes, at both ends. We handle customs clearance in Dubai and customs clearance in Argentina. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.
Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?
Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. On a lane this long, getting the consolidation right before anything sails matters more than usual.
Can you ship machinery and heavy equipment to Argentina?
Yes. We move project cargo to Argentina as well, and Zarate is the gateway set up for it along with vehicles and roll-on roll-off traffic. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship. Send us the size and weight and the delivery city.
Can you move my household goods to Argentina?
Yes. We move full house moves and part loads to Argentina, including Buenos Aires, Cordoba and Rosario. We pack, collect, move and deliver, and we handle the customs clearance so your things are not waiting on paperwork.
I am moving to Argentina. Do I get relief on my belongings?
You may. Foreigners establishing qualifying permanent residence and Argentine nationals returning after the required period abroad can import eligible personal and household effects under the residence transfer rules. A used vehicle has its own separate eligibility conditions and does not simply come in with the rest. Tell us your situation and we will explain what to expect.
