Shipping from Dubai
to Brazil.
We ship from Dubai and from anywhere in the UAE to Brazil by sea and by air. We carry business and personal cargo. Brazil is a long coastline with four gateways worth knowing, and one thing that has to be settled before anything ships: your buyer has to be registered to trade. We handle both ends and deliver to your address.
Overview
Sea and air freight
to Brazil.
Shipping from Dubai to Brazil takes about 36 to 45 days by sea, and 2 to 5 days by air. A current route model puts Jebel Ali to Brazil at around 36 days and 21 hours with two transhipments, and the upper end allows for different carriers and gateways. Santos is the principal container gateway and serves Sao Paulo, Campinas and the main industrial market in the south east. Rio de Janeiro serves its own state, Paranagua serves Parana and the south, and Suape serves Recife and the north east. Air cargo flies into Guarulhos at Sao Paulo, or Viracopos at Campinas, which is cargo focused and sits in the manufacturing belt. We deliver everywhere, including Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Salvador, Fortaleza, Belo Horizonte, Manaus, Curitiba and Recife. Navo Shipping handles the sea freight, air freight and customs clearance on the Dubai to Brazil route, door to door.

Ports and gateways
Sea ports and airports
we ship to from Dubai.
Every bill of lading carries two ports: where the cargo loads, and where it discharges. We load at Jebel Ali or another UAE port. Brazil has four sea ports we use and two airports. They suit different cargo and different inland legs, so the loading port and the discharge port are worth choosing separately.
POLPort of loading
We collect anywhere in the UAE, free zones included, and load at whichever of these eight suits the cargo.

PODPort of discharge
The right one is whichever leaves the shortest inland leg to your delivery address. On a long lane that leg is a shipment in its own right, so it is planned rather than assumed.

How cargo reaches Port of Santos
Shipping from Dubai to Santos is the default for Brazil, because it serves the Sao Paulo market where most cargo is going. Current routing uses two transhipments and runs around 36 days and 21 hours. Sea freight is priced per container on a full load and per cubic metre on a shared one. From here the road leg reaches Sao Paulo and Campinas quickly, and the rest of the country less so. How cargo reaches Port of Rio de Janeiro
Shipping from Dubai to Rio de Janeiro rounds the Cape of Good Hope, or transships in Europe or the Mediterranean, so no canal is involved on this lane. The port serves Rio state and the oil and gas industry around it. Times vary from ship to ship, so we confirm the days when we quote. Santos is the alternative and carries far more services. The quote separates ocean freight, transshipment, terminal handling, customs, tax and final delivery. How cargo reaches Port of Paranagua
Shipping from Dubai to Paranagua rounds the Cape of Good Hope, or transships in Europe or the Mediterranean. It serves Parana and the south, and because it works heavy agricultural export volumes, berth waiting can affect an import call. Times vary from ship to ship, so we confirm the days when we quote. Santos is the alternative. The quote separates ocean freight, transshipment, terminal handling, customs, tax and final delivery. Get a rate for Port of Paranagua - Port of SuapeBRSUASea port, Atlantic OceanRecife, Pernambuco and north-eastern Brazil
How cargo reaches Port of Suape
Suape serves the north east. Routing from Dubai is carrier dependent and normally needs relay connections. For a delivery in Recife, Salvador or Fortaleza it avoids trucking two thousand kilometres up from the south east, which is the mistake worth avoiding on this lane. How cargo reaches Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport
Air freight from Dubai to Guarulhos can use accepted belly or freighter capacity, with the routing confirmed live, subject to commodity, space, screening and local cargo handling approval. It is Brazil's busiest airport, so scheduled capacity is widest here, though the cargo terminal can be slow to release. Times vary from flight to flight, so we confirm the days when we quote. Viracopos is the alternative. The quote separates uplift, connection, screening, terminal, customs, tax and final delivery. Get a rate for Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport - Viracopos International AirportVCPAirportCampinas, Sao Paulo state and the industrial south east
How cargo reaches Viracopos International Airport
Air freight from Dubai to Viracopos can use accepted freighter capacity, with the routing confirmed live, subject to commodity, space, screening and local cargo handling approval. It is Brazil's main dedicated cargo airport, so freighters and large consignments usually land here rather than at Guarulhos. Times vary from flight to flight, so we confirm the days when we quote. Guarulhos is the alternative for belly cargo. The quote separates uplift, connection, screening, terminal, customs, tax and final delivery. Get a rate for Viracopos International Airport

Import rules
for Brazil.
Brazil has a real gate and it sits with your buyer rather than the cargo. A company carrying out Brazilian foreign trade normally has to be habilitated to operate through Siscomex, the national foreign trade system. Without that habilitation the import cannot proceed at all, whatever the paperwork on our side looks like, and arranging it takes time. Then the commodity itself has to be checked for what Brazil calls its administrative treatment: goods subject to licensing or regulatory control can need an import licence, an LPCO or an approval from the responsible agency before the import can go ahead. Regulated products may also need Inmetro approval. None of this is difficult when it is dealt with at booking. It is expensive when it is discovered at the quay. Tell us the commodity and who is receiving it and we will check both before you commit.

Documentation
Documents you need
for Brazil.
These 10 cover most shipments to Brazil. The exact list depends on the commodity and its HS code, so send us both and we confirm what applies before the cargo is booked.
- 01Invoice showing what you paid for the goods
- 02Packing list showing what is inside
- 03Certificate of origin showing where the goods were made
- 04Bill of lading or air waybill, which is the shipping ticket
- 05Dubai export paper, which we do for you
- 06Siscomex habilitation for the importing company
- 07Brazilian import declaration through the applicable customs system
- 08LPCO or import licence, where the commodity requires one
- 09Inmetro approval, for regulated products
- 10Health, agriculture or other agency authorisation, where it applies
Get the paperwork right in Dubai and clearance at destination is routine. Fixing a document after arrival is slow, and storage accrues the whole time it takes.

Questions
Cargo to Brazil
questions, answered.
The 16 we are asked most on the Dubai to Brazil route. If yours is not here, send it with the commodity and we will answer it directly.
Do you offer movers and packers for a house move from Dubai to Brazil?
Yes. Our movers and packers do the packing, wrapping and listing in Dubai, then we ship your furniture and household goods in a full container, or share one if you have less to send. The item by item list matters, because customs clear personal effects against it. Fuel, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols and loose batteries cannot travel, and we give you the full list before packing day.
How long does shipping from Dubai to Brazil take?
Sea freight to Brazil takes about 36 to 45 days, and air freight to Brazil takes 2 to 5 days. A current route model puts it at around 36 days and 21 hours with two transhipments on the way. We confirm the routing and give you a date in writing when we quote.
What is Siscomex habilitation and does my buyer need it?
It is the registration a company needs to carry out foreign trade in Brazil. Without it the import cannot proceed at all, whatever the shipping paperwork looks like. It sits with your buyer rather than the cargo and it takes time to arrange, so we confirm it before you book rather than when the container has landed.
How much does shipping from Dubai to Brazil cost?
It depends on what you send, how big it is, and where in Brazil it is going. We do not publish prices because every shipment is different. Sea freight to Brazil is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. Air freight to Brazil is priced on weight or size, whichever is greater. Send us the details and we send you a price in writing, usually the same day.
Which cities in Brazil do you deliver to?
All of them. Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Salvador, Fortaleza, Belo Horizonte, Manaus, Curitiba, Recife, Goiania, Belem, Porto Alegre, Campinas, Sao Luis, Maceio and Campo Grande. Just give us the address and we bring it to the door.
Which Brazilian port should my cargo go to?
Whichever is nearest the delivery. Santos for Sao Paulo and the south east, Paranagua for Curitiba and the south, Suape for Recife and the north east, Rio for Rio state. Brazil runs four thousand kilometres up the coast, so landing at the wrong end means trucking a very long way. Tell us the delivery city and we will pick.
Does my product need an import licence?
It might. Brazil checks each commodity for what it calls administrative treatment, and goods subject to licensing or regulatory control can need an import licence, an LPCO or an agency approval before the import goes ahead. Regulated products may also need Inmetro approval. Send us the product and the HS code and we will check.
Do you deliver door to door?
Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Brazil door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.
Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full container?
You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Santos. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.
Can you ship a car from Dubai to Brazil?
Ask us first and do not assume. Brazil has strict controls on used goods and vehicles, and a motor vehicle is not treated as ordinary traveller or moving baggage, so it cannot simply come in with your household effects. We could not verify a clear current rule for ordinary commercial import of a used passenger car from the UAE, so we will check your exact case rather than quote something that might be wrong. Send us the make, model, year and chassis number before you buy.
Do you handle customs clearance in Brazil?
Yes, at both ends. We handle customs clearance in Dubai and customs clearance in Brazil. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.
Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?
Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. On this lane that is useful, because it lets the cargo wait while the buyer habilitation is confirmed.
Can you ship machinery and heavy equipment to Brazil?
Yes. We move project cargo to Brazil as well. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship. Santos and Paranagua both handle industrial cargo. Send us the size and weight and the delivery city and we will work out the best way to move it.
Can you move my household goods to Brazil?
Yes. We move full house moves and part loads to Brazil, including Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba. We pack, collect, move and deliver, and we handle the customs clearance so your things are not waiting on paperwork.
I am moving to Brazil. Do I get relief on my belongings?
You may. Qualifying people moving to Brazil can import used household furniture, personal effects and professional items under the moving goods regime, with additional relief for eligible foreigners establishing residence and Brazilians returning after qualifying time abroad. A vehicle is handled separately and does not come in as household effects. Tell us your situation and we will explain what to expect.
Should I fly into Guarulhos or Viracopos?
Guarulhos for Sao Paulo city and onward national distribution. Viracopos if the delivery is in the Campinas manufacturing belt, because it is a cargo-focused airport sitting inside that region. Tell us the delivery town and we will pick.
