Tunisia is lighter on paperwork than its neighbours, and it is worth saying so. The separate import certificate was scrapped years ago, and now your buyer just needs their bank to register the invoice. Where an import permit is needed for a restricted product, it lasts a year rather than one shipment. The part that decides your timing is the technical check on arrival. Regulated goods are checked against Tunisian standards by whichever body covers that product, and that is the usual reason a container waits. It responds well to preparation, so we find out which body applies and get the evidence ready in advance.

No, that was scrapped years ago. Your buyer registers the invoice with their bank instead. If your product is restricted an import permit may apply, and that one lasts a year rather than a single shipment.
Why do containers wait at Radès?
Usually it is the technical check rather than customs. Regulated goods are checked against Tunisian standards by whichever body covers that product. Working out which body applies and having the evidence ready beforehand is what shortens it.
Do you deliver door to door?
Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Tunisia door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.
Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full container?
You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Radès. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.
Is Tunisia easier than Algeria to ship to?
On paperwork, generally yes. Tunisia scrapped its import certificate and its permits last a year. Algeria next door needs the bank paperwork done before the goods even ship. They are neighbours with quite different rules, so do not plan one from experience of the other.
Can you ship a car from Dubai to Tunisia?
Yes, in a container or on a roll-on roll-off vessel. There are rules on age and the taxes can be significant. Send us the make, model, year and chassis number and we will set out the position before you buy.
Do you handle customs clearance in Tunisia?
Yes, at both ends. We handle customs clearance in Dubai and customs clearance in Tunisia. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.
Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?
Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. That helps when you are buying from several suppliers and want everything to travel to Radès in one container.
Can you ship machinery and heavy equipment to Tunisia?
Yes. We move project cargo to Tunisia as well. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship into Radès. Send us the size and weight and we will work out the best way to move it.
