The item by item list matters, because customs clear personal effects against it. Fuel, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols and loose batteries cannot travel, and we give you the full list before packing day.

About 12 to 24 days by sea to Port Louis, and 2 to 6 days by air. It is a clean Indian Ocean run with no canal and no coastal detour, so the timing holds up better than on most African routes.

It depends on what you send, how big it is, and where in Mauritius it is going. We do not publish prices because every shipment is different. Sea freight to Mauritius is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. Air freight to Mauritius is priced on weight or size, whichever is greater. No. Unlike most African destinations there is no pre shipment certificate to obtain in Dubai. Restricted goods have their own permit rules, so we still check your product, but for ordinary goods the process is genuinely light.

It lets goods sit in bonded storage with the duty and VAT deferred rather than paid on arrival. It suits a distributor staging stock for the wider region. If your goods are for the local market it is usually unnecessary. It is a commercial decision worth making before you ship.
