The vessel runs down the Gulf and up the Red Sea and berths at the southern mouth of the Suez Canal without transiting it, roughly 5 to 10 days port to port. Egypt has one rule that catches people out, and we make sure it does not catch you. Before your goods leave Dubai, your Egyptian buyer has to register the shipment on the national system and get an ACID number. That number has to appear on the shipping documents. Goods arriving without it are refused, and it cannot be added afterwards. As the sender you also need to be registered with the Egyptian authorities as an exporter. Both steps are straightforward but they have to happen first. Tell us who is receiving the goods and we will confirm the ACID number is in place before we load.

What is an ACID number?
It is a number your Egyptian buyer gets by registering the shipment on the national system before the goods leave Dubai. It has to appear on the shipping documents. Goods arriving without it are refused, and it cannot be added later.
What happens if there is no ACID number?
The goods are refused at the port. It cannot be fixed afterwards because the registration has to happen before shipping. That is why we always confirm the number is issued before we load anything.
Do you deliver door to door?
Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Egypt door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.
Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full container?
You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Ain Sokhna. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.
Can you ship a car from Dubai to Egypt?
It is difficult. Egypt has strict rules on used cars and most are not allowed, with different rules for people moving back home. Tell us the details before you buy and we will give you an honest answer.
Do I need to register as an exporter?
Yes, senders need to be registered with the Egyptian authorities. It is a one time step. If you have not done it, tell us early because it takes some time to arrange.
Do you handle customs clearance in Egypt?
Yes, at both ends. We handle customs clearance in Dubai and customs clearance in Egypt. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.
Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?
Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. That helps when you are buying from several suppliers and want everything to travel to Ain Sokhna in one container.
Can you ship machinery and heavy equipment to Egypt?
Yes. We move project cargo to Egypt as well. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship into Ain Sokhna. Send us the size and weight and we will work out the best way to move it.
