Shipping from Dubai to Hamburg runs Jebel Ali to the largest container port in Germany, 21 to 38 days port to port depending on whether the service routes through Suez or around the Cape. Hamburg is a river port rather than a coastal one, so the voyage ends with an Elbe passage and a tidal window that the port-to-port figure does not show. for Germany.
Germany is in the European Union, so the same rules apply as anywhere in the EU, and we handle them for you. Two things matter before your goods leave Dubai. First, whoever is importing needs an EORI number. It is a free trading number and it is quick to get, but nothing clears without it. Second, a safety filing has to go in before the ship loads, not after it arrives. We do that as part of the booking. If your product needs a CE mark, we will tell you at the quote stage. Send us the goods and your buyer EORI number and we will take care of the rest.

How much does shipping from Dubai to Germany cost?

Sea freight to Germany is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. Air freight to Germany is priced on weight or size, whichever is greater. Which German ports do you ship to?
Hamburg is the main one and it has the best train and barge links inland. Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven are the other two deep sea ports. We pick whichever suits your delivery city and the sailing schedule.
Can you deliver to the Ruhr, Frankfurt and southern Germany?
Yes. Cargo lands at Hamburg or Bremerhaven and then travels inland by train, barge or truck. For Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich we can also fly direct, which skips the long road leg.
Do you deliver door to door?
Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Germany door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, ship them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.
Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full container?
You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Hamburg. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.
Can you ship a car from Dubai to Germany?
Yes, in a container or on a roll-on roll-off vessel. There are rules about emissions, tax and registration once it lands. Send us the make, model and chassis number and we will explain what to expect before you ship.
What is an EORI number?
It is a free trading number used across the European Union. Whoever imports the goods needs one. It is quick to get, but nothing clears without it, so we check it before we load.
What is a CE mark, and does my product need it?
It is a European safety mark. Many products need it before they can be sold in the EU, including electrical goods, toys and machinery. If yours does, it has to be in place before the goods arrive. Tell us the product and we will check.
Do you handle customs clearance in Germany?
Yes, at both ends. We do the export papers in Dubai and our agent clears the goods in Germany. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.
Do I pay duty and VAT on goods arriving in Germany?
Usually yes. German customs work it out from what the goods are and what they cost. Rates change by product, so we tell you what applies to yours rather than guessing. It is paid before the goods are released.
Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?
Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. That helps when you are buying from several suppliers and want everything to travel to Hamburg in one container.
Can you move my household goods to Germany?
Yes. We move full house moves and part loads. We pack, collect, ship and deliver, and we handle the customs side so your things are not sitting at a port waiting on paperwork.
