Sea freight to Bulgaria takes about 20 to 30 days, with current planning putting a Varna routing through to Sofia at around 25 days. Air freight to Bulgaria takes 2 to 7 days. Services into the Bulgarian ports run less often than into Constanta next door, which is part of why the range is wider. We give you a date in writing when we quote.

Sea freight to Bulgaria is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. Air freight to Bulgaria is priced on weight or size, whichever is greater. Varna is the main gateway and has the better inland run to Sofia and the north. Burgas is the southern Black Sea gateway and the better landing point for Plovdiv and the south. For air cargo we fly into Sofia.

Varna for Sofia and the north. Burgas for Plovdiv and the south. Bulgaria is not large, but landing at the wrong end still means a road leg across the country for no reason. Tell us the delivery town and we will pick.

Usually Sofia is still the better answer. Plovdiv has an airport but its cargo options are more limited, and the road leg from Sofia to Plovdiv is short. We will check both if the timing is tight, but do not count on Plovdiv for a scheduled air shipment.

It is a free trading number used across the European Union. Whoever imports the goods needs one and no customs operation happens without it. It is quick to get online, and we check it before we load.

It is the EU safety and security system. A filing called an Entry Summary Declaration has to reach EU customs before your goods arrive in Europe. The carrier files it and we supply the data.

Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Bulgaria door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.

You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Varna. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.

Yes. We do car shipping to Bulgaria, and there are procedures for both new and used vehicles from outside the EU. The thing to plan for is that it is two jobs rather than one: customs clearance and VAT first, then technical approval and registration afterwards. Clearing customs does not put the car on the road. Send us the make, model, year and chassis number and we will set out the sequence.

Yes. We move project cargo to Bulgaria as well. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship. Both Varna and Burgas handle general and heavy cargo. Send us the size and weight and we will work out the best way to move it.

You may. Bulgarian customs provide relief for personal property when you transfer your normal residence from outside the EU, and personal property can include a private motor vehicle subject to the conditions. Tell us your situation and we will explain what to expect.
