Shipping from Dubai
to Cyprus.

We ship from Dubai and from anywhere in the UAE to Cyprus by sea and by air. Limassol handles nearly all of it, and because the island is small the delivery leg afterwards is short wherever you are. We ship business and personal cargo, handle the EU paperwork, and deliver to your address.

Overview

Sea and air freight
to Cyprus.

Shipping from Dubai to Cyprus takes about 10 to 22 days by sea, and 1 to 3 days by air. Cyprus operators publish full container transit from the UAE at around 10 to 16 days, while some current schedules into Limassol sit closer to 22, so the carrier matters. Limassol is the main commercial container gateway and serves Nicosia, Paphos and most of the Republic. Larnaca handles selected commercial, bulk and specialist cargo. Air cargo flies into Larnaca International, or Paphos for the west. Cyprus is compact, so once the goods clear the road leg is short. We deliver everywhere in the Republic, including Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, Strovolos, Paralimni, Aradippou, Dali and Ayia Napa. Navo Shipping handles the sea freight, air freight and customs clearance on the Dubai to Cyprus route, door to door. Tell us what you are sending and where it is going, and we will tell you which way is cheaper.

Ports and gateways

Sea ports and airports
we ship to from Dubai.

Every bill of lading carries two ports: where the cargo loads, and where it discharges. We load at Jebel Ali or another UAE port. Cyprus has two sea ports we use and two airports. They suit different cargo and different inland legs, so the loading port and the discharge port are worth choosing separately.

  1. POLPort of loading

We collect anywhere in the UAE, free zones included, and load at whichever of these eight suits the cargo.

  2. PODPort of discharge

The right one is whichever leaves the shortest inland leg to your delivery address. On a long lane that leg is a shipment in its own right, so it is planned rather than assumed.

How cargo reaches Port of Limassol Shipping from Dubai to Limassol is the standard route for Cyprus, and full container services from the UAE are commonly routed here. Published transit runs from about 10 to 16 days on some services to closer to 22 on others, depending on whether the cargo comes direct or transfers on the way. Sea freight is priced per container on a full load and per cubic metre on a shared one. From here the road leg reaches anywhere in the Republic in a couple of hours. Get a rate for Port of Limassol

How cargo reaches Port of Larnaca Shipping from Dubai to Larnaca needs confirming first, because commercial cargo has largely moved to Limassol and Larnaca now works mainly cruise and specialist traffic. Times vary from ship to ship, so we confirm the days when we quote. Limassol is the alternative and is where most cargo clears. The quote separates ocean freight, transshipment, berth and equipment, customs, import VAT, storage and delivery. Get a rate for Port of Larnaca

How cargo reaches Larnaca International Airport Air freight from Dubai to Larnaca International can use accepted belly or freighter capacity, with the routing confirmed live, subject to commodity, space, screening and local cargo handling approval. It is Cyprus's main airport and handles nearly all the island's air cargo. Times vary from flight to flight, so we confirm the days when we quote. Paphos is the alternative for the west. The quote separates uplift, connection, screening, terminal, customs, import VAT and final delivery. Get a rate for Larnaca International Airport

How cargo reaches Paphos International Airport Air freight from Dubai to Paphos connects through a European or Gulf hub and takes little freight, because the airport works mainly seasonal passenger services, so acceptance is confirmed before booking. Before you ship

Import rules
for Cyprus.

Cyprus runs on the two EU rules and we handle both. Whoever imports needs an EORI number, which is free, quick to obtain and required before any customs operation. And a safety filing called an Entry Summary Declaration has to reach EU customs before the goods arrive, under the system known as ICS2. The carrier files it and we supply the data. If you are moving to Cyprus there is a specific allowance worth knowing about: transfer of residence relief covers one private-use vehicle per qualifying person, and the person needs to hold a valid driving licence. The usual conditions are at least twelve months of previous normal residence outside the EU and at least six months of possession and actual use of the goods. Tell us what you are sending and we will confirm what applies before you book.

Documentation

Documents you need
for Cyprus.

These 11 cover most shipments to Cyprus. The exact list depends on the commodity and its HS code, so send us both and we confirm what applies before the cargo is booked.

  • 01Invoice showing what you paid for the goods
  • 02Packing list showing what is inside
  • 03Certificate of origin showing where the goods were made
  • 04Bill of lading or air waybill, which is the shipping ticket
  • 05Dubai export paper, which we do for you
  • 06EORI number of the importer in Cyprus
  • 07EU customs declaration
  • 08ICS2 Entry Summary Declaration data, filed before arrival
  • 09Import permit, where the commodity is controlled
  • 10Sanitary or conformity certificate, where the product needs one
  • 11Proof of origin, where you are claiming preferential duty

Get the paperwork right in Dubai and clearance at destination is routine. Fixing a document after arrival is slow, and storage accrues the whole time it takes.

Questions

Cargo to Cyprus
questions, answered.

The 15 we are asked most on the Dubai to Cyprus route. If yours is not here, send it with the commodity and we will answer it directly.

Do you offer movers and packers for a house move from Dubai to Cyprus?

Yes. Our movers and packers do the packing, wrapping and listing in Dubai, then we ship your furniture and household goods in a full container, or share one if you have less to send. The item by item list matters, because customs clear personal effects against it. Fuel, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols and loose batteries cannot travel, and we give you the full list before packing day.

How long does shipping from Dubai to Cyprus take?

Sea freight to Cyprus takes about 10 to 22 days, and air freight to Cyprus takes 1 to 3 days. Cyprus operators publish around 10 to 16 days for a full container from the UAE, while some current schedules into Limassol sit closer to 22. The difference is whether the service comes direct or transfers on the way. We give you a date in writing when we quote.

How much does shipping from Dubai to Cyprus cost?

It depends on what you send, how big it is, and where in Cyprus it is going. We do not publish prices because every shipment is different. Sea freight to Cyprus is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. Air freight to Cyprus is priced on weight or size, whichever is greater. Send us the details and we send you a price in writing, usually the same day.

Which parts of Cyprus do you deliver to?

Everywhere in the Republic, including Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, Strovolos, Paralimni, Aradippou, Engomi, Dali, Athienou, Ayia Napa and Polis. The island is small, so the road leg from Limassol reaches anywhere in a couple of hours. Just give us the address.

Which ports in Cyprus do you ship to?

Limassol is the main commercial container gateway and handles nearly all sea freight. Larnaca takes selected commercial, bulk and specialist cargo. For air cargo we fly into Larnaca International, or Paphos for the west.

What is an EORI number?

It is a free trading number used across the European Union. Whoever imports the goods needs one and no customs operation happens without it. It is quick to get online, and we check it before we load. Cyprus joined the EU in 2004, so an EORI has been required here for a long time and most established importers already hold one.

What is ICS2?

It is the EU safety and security system. A filing called an Entry Summary Declaration has to reach EU customs before your goods arrive. The carrier files it and we supply the data. Because the sailing can be short, we treat the filing as part of the booking rather than something to sort out later.

Do you deliver door to door?

Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Cyprus door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.

Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full container?

You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Limassol. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.

Can you ship a car from Dubai to Cyprus?

Yes. We do car shipping to Cyprus, and vehicles from outside the EU can be imported and cleared through Cyprus Customs. If you are moving to Cyprus, transfer of residence relief covers one private-use vehicle per qualifying person, and you need to hold a valid driving licence. Send us the make, model, year and chassis number and we will check before you buy.

Do you handle customs clearance in Cyprus?

Yes, at both ends. We handle customs clearance in Dubai and customs clearance in Cyprus. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.

Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?

Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. That helps when you are buying from several suppliers and want everything to travel to Limassol in one container.

Can you ship machinery and heavy equipment to Cyprus?

Yes. We move project cargo to Cyprus as well. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship. Larnaca handles bulk and specialist cargo that does not suit a container terminal. Send us the size and weight and we will work out the best way to move it.

I am moving to Cyprus. Do I get relief on my belongings?

You may. Transfer of residence relief covers qualifying personal property brought from outside the EU. Cyprus normally requires at least twelve months of previous normal residence outside the EU and at least six months of possession and actual use of the goods. One private-use vehicle per qualifying person can be included. Tell us your situation and we will explain what to expect.

Can you move my household goods to Cyprus?

Yes. We move full house moves and part loads to Cyprus, including Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos. We pack, collect, move and deliver, and we handle the customs clearance so your things are not waiting on paperwork.
