Shipping from Dubai
to Israel.

We ship from Dubai and from anywhere in the UAE to Israel by sea and by air. Haifa serves the north and Ashdod serves the centre, so the port that suits you follows the delivery address. We ship business and personal cargo, do the paperwork at both ends, and deliver to your door.

Overview

Sea and air freight
to Israel.

Shipping from Dubai to Israel takes about 14 to 25 days by sea, and 1 to 4 days by air. Haifa is the main container gateway in the north and serves national distribution. Ashdod serves Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the centre and south, and for most deliveries it is the shorter road leg of the two. Eilat sits on the Gulf of Aqaba and is a Red Sea gateway, though whether it suits a given shipment depends on conditions at the time. Air cargo flies into Ben Gurion. We deliver everywhere, including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Rishon LeZion, Petah Tikva, Ashdod, Netanya, Beersheba, Holon, Ramat Gan, Ashkelon and Rehovot. We move machinery, electrical equipment, chemicals, plastics, metals, food products, vehicle parts and household goods. Navo Shipping handles the sea freight, air freight and customs clearance on the Dubai to Israel route, door to door. Tell us what you are sending and where it is going, and we will confirm the routing that is running when you book.

Ports and gateways

Sea ports and airports
we ship to from Dubai.

Every bill of lading carries two ports: where the cargo loads, and where it discharges. We load at Jebel Ali or another UAE port. Israel has three sea ports we use and one airport. They suit different cargo and different inland legs, so the loading port and the discharge port are worth choosing separately.

  1. POLPort of loading

We collect anywhere in the UAE, free zones included, and load at whichever of these eight suits the cargo.

  2. PODPort of discharge

The right one is whichever leaves the shortest inland leg to your delivery address. On a long lane that leg is a shipment in its own right, so it is planned rather than assumed.

    • Port of HaifaILHFASea port, Mediterranean SeaHaifa, northern Israel and national container distribution
How cargo reaches Port of Haifa Shipping from Dubai to Haifa goes through regional liner networks, and whether a service runs direct or relays in the Mediterranean depends on the carrier. It is a major container gateway and the natural landing point for the north. Sea freight is priced per container on a full load and per cubic metre on a shared one. We confirm the routing that is actually running at booking rather than quoting a fixed transit. Get a rate for Port of Haifa
    • Port of AshdodILASHSea port, Mediterranean SeaTel Aviv, Jerusalem, Ashdod and central and southern Israel
How cargo reaches Port of Ashdod Shipping from Dubai to Ashdod turns on whether the Red Sea is usable, because services avoiding it sail around Africa instead, which adds weeks and cost. It is Israel's main container port for Tel Aviv and the south. Many goods also need Israeli standards approval before release, which we check when we quote. Haifa is the alternative for the north. The quote separates ocean freight, routing and war risk surcharges, terminal handling, customs, standards checks and delivery. Get a rate for Port of Ashdod
    • Port of EilatILETHSea port, Gulf of AqabaEilat and southern Israel
How cargo reaches Port of Eilat Shipping from Dubai to Eilat means a Red Sea passage up to the Gulf of Aqaba, and traffic through the port has been cut back sharply by attacks on that route, so acceptance is confirmed before anything is booked. Times vary from ship to ship, so we confirm the days when we quote. Ashdod is the practical alternative for most cargo. The quote separates ocean freight, routing and war risk surcharges, port handling, customs, standards checks and delivery. Get a rate for Port of Eilat
    • Ben Gurion AirportTLVAirportTel Aviv, Jerusalem and distribution nationally
How cargo reaches Ben Gurion Airport Air freight from Dubai to Ben Gurion is 1 to 4 days depending on space on the day. It is the principal air cargo gateway and sits centrally, so the delivery leg afterwards is short almost anywhere in the country. Get a rate for Ben Gurion Airport

Before you ship

Import rules
for Israel.

Israel does not ask for one reference number before the ship leaves Dubai, so ordinary cargo moves on normal customs declarations. What decides many shipments instead is the standards regime. Goods covered by mandatory Israeli standards need either a standards declaration or a formal standards approval before they can be released, and that is separate from any import licence. On top of that, goods listed under the Free Import Order need a licence or permit from the regulator responsible for them, and food has its own importer registration. Your buyer or their customs agent handles these at the Israeli end. The reason to raise it at booking is that a standards approval is not quick, and cargo that arrives without one waits. Tell us the product and the HS code and we will confirm what applies before you book.

Documentation

Documents you need
for Israel.

These 10 cover most shipments to Israel. The exact list depends on the commodity and its HS code, so send us both and we confirm what applies before the cargo is booked.

  • 01Invoice showing what you paid for the goods
  • 02Packing list showing what is inside
  • 03Certificate of origin showing where the goods were made
  • 04Bill of lading or air waybill, which is the shipping ticket
  • 05Dubai export paper, which we do for you
  • 06Israeli import declaration, filed by your buyer or their customs agent
  • 07Importer declaration for customs valuation, where it is required
  • 08Import licence or permit, for goods under the Free Import Order
  • 09Standards declaration or standards approval, for goods under a mandatory standard
  • 10Health or regulatory approval, where the product needs one

Get the paperwork right in Dubai and clearance at destination is routine. Fixing a document after arrival is slow, and storage accrues the whole time it takes.

Questions

Cargo to Israel
questions, answered.

The 16 we are asked most on the Dubai to Israel route. If yours is not here, send it with the commodity and we will answer it directly.

Do you offer movers and packers for a house move from Dubai to Israel?

Yes. Our movers and packers do the packing, wrapping and listing in Dubai, then we ship your furniture and household goods in a full container, or share one if you have less to send. The item by item list matters, because customs clear personal effects against it. Fuel, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols and loose batteries cannot travel, and we give you the full list before packing day.

How long does shipping from Dubai to Israel take?

Sea freight to Israel takes about 14 to 25 days, and air freight to Israel takes 1 to 4 days. The sea range is deliberately wide, because routing on this lane depends on which services are actually running at the time. We confirm against live schedules and give you a date in writing when we quote.

How much does shipping from Dubai to Israel cost?

It depends on what you send, how big it is, and where in Israel it is going. We do not publish prices because every shipment is different. Sea freight to Israel is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. Air freight to Israel is priced on weight or size, whichever is greater. Send us the details and we send you a price in writing, usually the same day.

Which cities in Israel do you deliver to?

All of them. Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Rishon LeZion, Petah Tikva, Ashdod, Netanya, Beersheba, Bnei Brak, Holon, Ramat Gan, Ashkelon, Rehovot, Bat Yam, Herzliya and Eilat. Just give us the address and we bring it to the door.

Which ports in Israel do you ship to?

Haifa is the northern container gateway. Ashdod serves Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the centre and south, and for most deliveries it is the shorter road leg. Eilat is the Red Sea gateway on the Gulf of Aqaba. For air cargo we fly into Ben Gurion.

Haifa or Ashdod, which should my cargo go to?

Ashdod for most deliveries, because it sits closer to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the centre where most cargo is going. Haifa if the delivery address is in the north. Tell us the town and we will pick the one that keeps the road leg short.

What is a mandatory standard, and does my product need approval?

Israel applies mandatory standards to a lot of products. Goods covered by one need either a standards declaration or a formal standards approval before they can be released, and it is separate from any import licence. It is not a quick process, so it is worth checking at booking rather than on arrival. Send us the product and the HS code and we will check.

Do you deliver door to door?

Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Israel door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.

Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full container?

You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Ashdod. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.

Can you ship a car from Dubai to Israel?

Yes. We do car shipping to Israel, and used vehicles can be imported, but vehicle import is regulated separately through transport, customs and registration rules rather than as ordinary cargo. We could not confirm any blanket maximum age. Send us the make, model, year and chassis number and we will check your case before you buy.

Do you handle customs clearance in Israel?

Yes, at both ends. We handle customs clearance in Dubai and customs clearance in Israel. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.

Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?

Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. That helps when you are buying from several suppliers and want everything to travel to Ashdod in one container.

Can you ship machinery and heavy equipment to Israel?

Yes. We move project cargo to Israel as well. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship. Haifa and Ashdod both handle general and heavy cargo. Send us the size and weight and we will work out the best way to move it.

Can you move my household goods to Israel?

Yes. We move full house moves and part loads to Israel, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa. We pack, collect, move and deliver, and we handle the customs clearance so your things are not waiting on paperwork.

I am moving to Israel. Do I get any relief on my belongings?

You may. New immigrants and certain returning residents can hold customs eligibility for personal imports and household goods, subject to their status and the entitlement rules. It is worth establishing before the shipment moves rather than after. Tell us your situation and we will explain what to expect.

Is Eilat available for my shipment?

Ask us rather than assuming. Eilat is a Red Sea gateway on the Gulf of Aqaba, and whether it is a sensible option depends on conditions and carrier operations at the time, which have varied. For most cargo the Mediterranean ports are the reliable answer.
