The Philippines asks for one thing up front, and it catches people out because it sits with the buyer rather than with the cargo. A regular commercial importer has to be accredited with the Bureau of Customs and keep their record live in the Client Profile Registration System. Without that accreditation the shipment cannot be entered, whatever the paperwork on our side looks like. It is worth confirming before you book rather than when the container has landed, because arranging it takes time. Separately, regulated goods need a licence, permit or clearance from the agency responsible for that product, and some need an Authority to Release Imported Goods before customs will let them go. Which island gateway should my cargo go to?
Whichever island the delivery address is on. Landing in Manila when the goods are going to Cebu or Davao means a domestic leg that often costs more than the difference in the sea rate. Tell us the delivery town and we will pick the right one.
What is importer accreditation and does my buyer need it?
A regular commercial importer has to be accredited with the Bureau of Customs and keep their record live in the Client Profile Registration System. Without it the shipment cannot be entered. It sits with your buyer rather than with the cargo, and arranging it takes time, so we check it before you book.
Do you deliver door to door?
Yes. We handle freight forwarding to the Philippines door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.
Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full container?
You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Manila. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.
Can you ship a car from Dubai to the Philippines?
Sometimes. We do car shipping to the Philippines, but used vehicles are not freely imported. Both the vehicle and the importer have to qualify, and a Certificate of Authority to Import must be obtained before the goods are shipped. Returning residents bringing a personally owned vehicle are one of the routes that can qualify. Send us the make, model, year and chassis number, and tell us your situation, and we will check before you commit.
Do you handle customs clearance in the Philippines?
Yes, at both ends. We handle customs clearance in Dubai and customs clearance in the Philippines. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.
Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?
Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. That helps when you are buying from several suppliers and want everything to travel to Manila in one container.
Can you ship machinery and heavy equipment to the Philippines?
Yes. We move project cargo to the Philippines as well. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship. Batangas handles roll-on roll-off and wheeled cargo. Send us the size and weight and the delivery island and we will work out the best way to move it.
Can you move my household goods to the Philippines?
Yes. We move full house moves and part loads to the Philippines, including Manila, Cebu City and Davao City. We pack, collect, move and deliver, and we handle the customs clearance so your things are not waiting on paperwork.
I am a returning resident or an OFW. Do I get any relief?
You may. Returning residents and qualifying overseas Filipino workers can receive customs privileges on eligible personal and household effects. Vehicles are handled separately and do not come in as ordinary household goods. Tell us your situation and how long you have been away, and we will explain what to expect.
What is the Supplemental Declaration on Valuation?
It is an extra form the Philippine customs authority asks for alongside the Goods Declaration, setting out how the value of the shipment was arrived at. We prepare it as part of the clearance, so it is not something you need to handle yourself.
Can you deliver to the smaller islands?
Yes. Anything outside Luzon, Cebu and Mindanao normally travels on a feeder leg after the main sailing, or flies in through Manila. That leg is worth quoting on its own, because on the smaller islands it is often the bigger part of the cost. Tell us the town and we will price both ways.
