Yes. Our movers and packers do the packing, wrapping and listing, then we ship your furniture and household goods in a full container, or share one if you have less to send. The item by item list matters, because customs clear personal effects against it. Fuel, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols and loose batteries cannot travel, and we give you the full list before packing day.

No. Scotland follows Great Britain customs rules. Your buyer needs a GB EORI number to make customs declarations, and an EU EORI is a different thing that will not work here. The pre-arrival safety declaration goes through the Safety and Security Great Britain service rather than the EU’s ICS2 system.

Sea freight to Scotland takes about 20 to 35 days, and air freight to Scotland takes 3 to 7 days. Containers can come through Grangemouth or Greenock, or through a larger English or continental hub and then move north by feeder, rail or road. Which is quicker depends on the week. We give you a date in writing when we quote.

It depends on what you send, how big it is, and where in Scotland it is going. We do not publish prices because every shipment is different. Sea freight to Scotland is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. Air freight to Scotland is priced on weight or size, whichever is greater. UK duty and VAT apply rather than EU rules. Send us the details and we send you a price in writing.

Grangemouth on the Firth of Forth is Scotland’s main container port and sits well for the central belt. Greenock on the Clyde serves Glasgow and the west. Aberdeen matters for project, offshore and energy-sector cargo. For air cargo we fly into Edinburgh or Glasgow.

It is the trading number used for customs declarations in Great Britain. A business importing into Scotland normally needs one. It is not the same as an EU EORI, and having the European number does not help you here. We check your buyer has the right one before we load.

It is the Great Britain safety and security system. Most goods entering Great Britain need a pre-arrival Entry Summary Declaration filed through it, unless a specific waiver applies. The carrier or another responsible party files it. It does the same job as the EU’s ICS2 but it is a separate system with its own registration.

Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Scotland door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through UK customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.

You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Grangemouth. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.

Yes, and it is a sequence rather than a single step. The vehicle is declared to HMRC, duty and VAT are settled or relief claimed, HMRC is notified through NOVA where required, vehicle approval is obtained where it applies, and then the car is registered with DVLA. Send us the make, model, year and chassis number and we will set out the order.

Yes. Inverness and the north add a long road leg after the central belt, and the north east is its own journey again. We quote that leg properly rather than treating Scotland as a single delivery zone, because on this geography it is a real part of the cost.

Yes, at both ends. We handle customs clearance in Dubai and UK customs clearance at the other end. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.

Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. That helps when you are buying from several suppliers and want everything to travel to Grangemouth in one container.

You may. Transfer of Residence relief can cover qualifying household goods and a private motor vehicle when you move to Great Britain. The guidance generally requires at least twelve consecutive months of previous residence outside the UK and at least six months of prior possession and use of the goods, with the import normally within twelve months of the move.
