Instead, the Albanian company importing the goods must have its NIPT tax identification number registered in the customs system, ASYCUDA World, before it can carry out any customs procedure. Pages that hand you the EU process are describing the wrong country.

Sea freight to Albania takes about 25 to 40 days, and air freight to Albania takes 2 to 7 days. A current economical routing from Dubai to Tirana through Durres with one transhipment is around 25 days including terminal handling and inland delivery. Vehicle movements are commonly quoted longer, at 30 to 40 days door to port. We give you a date in writing when we quote.

It is the Albanian tax identification number, and it has to be registered in the customs system before your buyer can clear anything. Without it a perfectly ordinary shipment cannot be processed. It sits with the buyer rather than the cargo, and arranging it takes time, so we check it before you book rather than when the container has landed.

Durres is the primary container gateway and serves Tirana and most of the country. Vlore serves the south and Shengjin the north, though we could not verify regular Dubai container service to either, so we check before quoting. For air cargo we fly into Tirana International.

Yes. Albania has four working road corridors: Hani i Hotit from Montenegro, Morine from Kosovo, Qafe Thane from North Macedonia and Kakavije from Greece. They are useful when your goods are consolidating in the region, or when the Durres sailing does not suit the timing. We confirm a corridor is running before quoting it.

Yes. We move project cargo to Albania as well. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship into Durres. Send us the size and weight and we will work out the best way to move it.

You may, and the vehicle rule is stricter than the household one, which catches people out. Household goods normally need to have been possessed and used for at least six months. But for a private vehicle, caravan, vessel or aircraft, you normally need to have been the registered owner for at least twelve months before the move.
