Shipping from Dubai
to Poland.
We ship from Dubai and from anywhere in the UAE to Poland by sea and by air. Gdansk is the deep-sea gateway on the Baltic and it reaches Warsaw and central Poland well, so most shipments have a simple answer. We ship business and personal cargo, handle the EU paperwork, and deliver to your address.
Overview
Sea and air freight
to Poland.
Shipping from Dubai to Poland takes about 22 to 29 days by sea, and 2 to 7 days by air. Current schedules have shown Jebel Ali to Gdansk at around 22 days and 20 hours port to port, and about 29 days once inland delivery to Warsaw is counted. Gdansk is the main deep-sea container gateway and serves Warsaw and central Poland as well as the coast. Gdynia is the alternative Baltic gateway for the north. Szczecin serves western Poland. Air cargo flies into Warsaw Chopin, or Katowice for the industrial south, which is a useful option for Upper Silesia. We deliver everywhere, including Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Lodz, Poznan, Gdansk, Szczecin, Bydgoszcz, Lublin, Bialystok, Katowice and Rzeszow. Navo Shipping handles the sea freight, air freight and customs clearance on the Dubai to Poland route, door to door. Tell us what you are sending and where it is going, and we will tell you which way is cheaper.

Ports and gateways
Sea ports and airports
we ship to from Dubai.
Every bill of lading carries two ports: where the cargo loads, and where it discharges. We load at Jebel Ali or another UAE port. Poland has three sea ports we use and two airports. They suit different cargo and different inland legs, so the loading port and the discharge port are worth choosing separately.
POLPort of loading
We collect anywhere in the UAE, free zones included, and load at whichever of these eight suits the cargo.

PODPort of discharge
The right one is whichever leaves the shortest inland leg to your delivery address. On a long lane that leg is a shipment in its own right, so it is planned rather than assumed.

How cargo reaches Port of Gdansk
Shipping from Dubai to Gdansk is the standard route into Poland. Current schedules have shown around 22 days and 20 hours port to port from Jebel Ali, which is quick for a Baltic port and better than most of Scandinavia. It is the country’s main deep-sea container gateway and feeds Warsaw and central Poland by rail and road. Sea freight is priced per container on a full load and per cubic metre on a shared one. How cargo reaches Port of Gdynia
Gdynia sits alongside Gdansk on the same stretch of coast and is the alternative Baltic container gateway. Routing from Dubai depends on the carrier and may involve a European transhipment rather than a through service, so it is worth comparing against Gdansk rather than assuming they are interchangeable. Get a rate for Port of Gdynia - Port of SzczecinSea port, Baltic access through the Oder estuarySzczecin and western Poland
How cargo reaches Port of Szczecin
Shipping from Dubai to Szczecin arrives on a Baltic feeder rather than a direct deep sea call, and the approach through the Oder estuary limits vessel size. It serves western Poland and the German border region. That feeder leg sets the timing, so we confirm the days when we quote. Gdansk is the alternative and takes the largest ships. The quote separates ocean freight, transshipment, the feeder leg, terminal handling, customs, import VAT and delivery. How cargo reaches Warsaw Chopin Airport
Air freight from Dubai to Warsaw Chopin can use accepted belly or freighter capacity, with the routing confirmed live, subject to commodity, space, screening and local cargo handling approval. It is Poland's main air cargo gateway and sits close to the city, so the delivery leg is short. Times vary from flight to flight, so we confirm the days when we quote. Katowice is the alternative for the south. The quote separates uplift, connection, screening, terminal, customs, import VAT and final delivery. How cargo reaches Katowice Airport
Air freight from Dubai to Katowice connects through a European hub, subject to commodity, space, screening and local cargo handling approval. It handles freighters and serves the Silesian industrial belt, which saves the road run down from Warsaw. Times vary from flight to flight, so we confirm the days when we quote. Warsaw Chopin is the alternative for wider scheduled capacity. The quote separates uplift, connection, screening, terminal, customs, import VAT and final delivery. Get a rate for Katowice Airport

Import rules
for Poland.
Poland runs on the two EU rules and we handle both. Whoever imports needs an EORI number. It is free and quick to obtain, but no customs operation happens without it, so we confirm it before booking. And a safety filing called an Entry Summary Declaration has to reach EU customs before the goods arrive in Europe, under the system known as ICS2. The carrier files it and we supply the data. One Polish detail worth planning for separately: if you are importing a vehicle, proof of the import customs clearance is needed for the Polish registration, so keep that paperwork rather than filing it away. Regulated goods need their own licence or certificate. Tell us the product and the HS code and we will confirm what applies before you book.

Documentation
Documents you need
for Poland.
These 11 cover most shipments to Poland. The exact list depends on the commodity and its HS code, so send us both and we confirm what applies before the cargo is booked.
- 01Invoice showing what you paid for the goods
- 02Packing list showing what is inside
- 03Certificate of origin showing where the goods were made
- 04Bill of lading or air waybill, which is the shipping ticket
- 05Dubai export paper, which we do for you
- 06EORI number of the importer in Poland
- 07EU customs import declaration
- 08ICS2 Entry Summary Declaration data, filed before arrival
- 09Import licence or product certificate, where the commodity is controlled
- 10Sanitary, veterinary or plant health document, where the product needs one
- 11Proof of origin, where you are claiming preferential duty
Get the paperwork right in Dubai and clearance at destination is routine. Fixing a document after arrival is slow, and storage accrues the whole time it takes.

Questions
Cargo to Poland
questions, answered.
The 15 we are asked most on the Dubai to Poland route. If yours is not here, send it with the commodity and we will answer it directly.
How long does shipping from Dubai to Poland take?
Sea freight to Poland takes about 22 days port to port into Gdansk on current schedules, and around 29 days door to door to Warsaw. Air freight to Poland takes 2 to 7 days. The gap between those two sea figures is the inland leg, which on a country this size is a real part of the journey. We give you a date in writing when we quote.
How much does shipping from Dubai to Poland cost?
It depends on what you send, how big it is, and where in Poland it is going. We do not publish prices because every shipment is different. Sea freight to Poland is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. Air freight to Poland is priced on weight or size, whichever is greater. Send us the details and we send you a price in writing, usually the same day.
Which cities in Poland do you deliver to?
All of them. Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Lodz, Poznan, Gdansk, Szczecin, Bydgoszcz, Lublin, Bialystok, Katowice, Gdynia, Czestochowa, Rzeszow, Torun and Gliwice. Just give us the address and we bring it to the door.
Which ports in Poland do you ship to?
Gdansk is the main deep-sea container gateway and serves Warsaw and central Poland. Gdynia is the alternative Baltic gateway for the north. Szczecin serves the west. For air cargo we fly into Warsaw Chopin, or Katowice for the industrial south.
Is Poland quicker than Scandinavia from Dubai?
Considerably, yes. Gdansk has shown about 22 days on current schedules, while the Nordic ports commonly need two transhipments and run well beyond a month. If your cargo could clear in Poland and move on by road, that is worth comparing rather than assuming the nearest port is the right one.
Should I fly into Warsaw or Katowice?
Warsaw for the centre and the east. Katowice if the delivery is in Upper Silesia or the industrial south, because it saves the road leg down from the capital. On urgent cargo that leg is worth avoiding. Tell us the delivery town and we will pick.
What is an EORI number?
It is a free trading number used across the European Union. Whoever imports the goods needs one and no customs operation happens without it. It is quick to get online, and we check it before we load.
What is ICS2?
It is the EU safety and security system. A filing called an Entry Summary Declaration has to reach EU customs before your goods arrive in Europe. The carrier files it and we supply the data.
Do you deliver door to door?
Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Poland door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.
Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full container?
You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Gdansk. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.
Can you ship a car from Dubai to Poland?
Yes. We do car shipping to Poland, and used vehicles can be brought in from outside the EU subject to customs, tax, technical approval and Polish registration. One practical point: proof of the import customs clearance is needed for the registration, so keep that paperwork. Send us the make, model, year and chassis number and we will check before you buy.
Do you handle customs clearance in Poland?
Yes, at both ends. We handle customs clearance in Dubai and customs clearance in Poland. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.
Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?
Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. That helps when you are buying from several suppliers and want everything to travel to Gdansk in one container.
Can you ship machinery and heavy equipment to Poland?
Yes. We move project cargo to Poland as well. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship. Gdansk and Gdynia both handle general and heavy cargo. Send us the size and weight and we will work out the best way to move it.
I am moving to Poland. Do I get relief on my belongings?
You may. Polish rules allow duty relief on personal property when you transfer residence from outside the EU, and the guidance covers household property and private cars. Qualifying non-consumable goods generally need to have been owned and used for at least six months before the move. Tell us your situation and we will explain what to expect.
