Overview
Sea, road and air freight
to Saudi Arabia.
Shipping from Dubai to Saudi Arabia takes about 1 to 3 days by road, 3 to 8 days by sea, and 1 to 6 days by air. Road is the most popular choice because it is fast and the truck goes straight to your door. Sea suits heavy and bulky loads through Dammam, Jeddah, King Abdullah Port and Jubail. Air suits urgent and light goods. We move machinery, building materials, furniture, electronics, food and household goods. We deliver to every city, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar, Mecca, Medina, Jubail, Yanbu, Taif, Buraidah, Tabuk, Abha and Hail. Navo Shipping handles the sea freight, land freight, air freight and customs clearance on the Dubai to Saudi Arabia route, door to door. Tell us what you are sending, how heavy it is, and where it is going, and we will tell you which way is cheaper.

Ports and gateways
Sea ports and airports
we ship to from Dubai.
Every bill of lading carries two ports: where the cargo loads, and where it discharges. We load at Jebel Ali or another UAE port. Saudi Arabia has eight sea ports we use and eight airports. They suit different cargo and different inland legs, so the loading port and the discharge port are worth choosing separately.

We collect anywhere in the UAE, free zones included, and load at whichever of these eight suits the cargo.

How cargo reaches Dammam
Shipping from Dubai to Dammam is the shortest sea leg on this route. Jebel Ali to King Abdulaziz Port on the Arabian Gulf takes about 3 to 8 days port to port. It is the natural sea gateway for the Eastern Province and for Riyadh, and containers can move inland under bond for clearance at the Riyadh dry port. Sea freight is priced per container, and on this leg it is worth comparing against a truck, which is often quicker. Get a rate for Dammam - JeddahSAJEDSea port · Red SeaThe west, Mecca and Medina

Before you ship
Import rules
for Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia checks products before they arrive, and we take care of it with you. The system is called SABER. Most goods need a certificate through it, and that certificate is arranged here in Dubai before your shipment leaves. There are two parts. The product itself is registered once, then each shipment gets its own certificate. If your product has been shipped before, the first part is already done and the second is quick. Not everything needs SABER. Tell us what you are sending and we will check, then start it for you.

Documentation
Documents you need
for Saudi Arabia.
These 7 cover most shipments to Saudi Arabia. The exact list depends on the commodity and its HS code, so send us both and we confirm what applies before the cargo is booked.
- 01Invoice showing what you paid for the goods
- 02Packing list showing what is inside
- 03Certificate of origin showing where the goods were made
- 04Bill of lading, air waybill or road manifest
- 05Dubai export paper, which we do for you
- 06SABER certificate, which we arrange if your product needs one
- 07The Saudi buyer commercial registration number
Get the paperwork right in Dubai and clearance at destination is routine. Fixing a document after arrival is slow, and storage accrues the whole time it takes.

Questions
Cargo to Saudi Arabia
questions, answered.
The 15 we are asked most on the Dubai to Saudi Arabia route. If yours is not here, send it with the commodity and we will answer it directly.
Do you offer movers and packers for a house move from Dubai to Saudi Arabia?
Yes. Our movers and packers do the packing, wrapping and listing, then we ship your furniture and household goods in a full container, or share one if you have less to send. The item by item list matters, because customs clear personal effects against it. Fuel, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols and loose batteries cannot travel, and we give you the full list before packing day.
How long does shipping from Dubai to Saudi Arabia take?
About 1 to 3 days by road, 3 to 8 days by sea, and 1 to 6 days by air. Road is usually the quickest and it goes straight to your door. We give you a date in writing when we quote.
How much does shipping from Dubai to Saudi Arabia cost?
It depends on what you send, how big it is, and which city it goes to. We do not publish prices because every shipment is different. Send us the details and we send you a price in writing, usually the same day.
Is road or sea better for Saudi Arabia?
Road is usually better. Your goods can reach Riyadh or Dammam in a couple of days, and the truck goes straight to your door with no port handling in between. Sea makes sense for very heavy or bulky loads, especially into Jeddah and the west coast.
Which cities in Saudi Arabia do you deliver to?
All of them. Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Khobar, Mecca, Medina, Jubail, Yanbu, Taif, Buraidah, Tabuk, Abha, Hail, Jizan, Najran and Sakaka. Just give us the address and we bring it to the door.
Which Saudi ports do you ship to?
Dammam and Jubail on the east coast, and Jeddah, King Abdullah Port and Yanbu on the west. Dammam is closer to Riyadh and the east. Jeddah is better for Mecca, Medina and the west.
Do you deliver door to door?
Yes. We handle freight forwarding to Saudi Arabia door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear customs at the border, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.
Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full truck?
You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared truck or container. When you have more goods, you move up to your own. We will tell you which one is cheaper.
Can you ship a car from Dubai to Saudi Arabia?
Yes, by road or by sea. Saudi Arabia has rules on the age and condition of used cars, so send us the details and the chassis number and we will check the car is allowed before you buy it.
What is SABER, and does my product need it?
SABER is the Saudi system for checking products before they arrive. Most goods need a certificate through it, arranged here in Dubai before shipping. Some do not. Tell us the product and we will check for you.
How long does SABER take?
It depends on the product. If it has been registered before, the shipment certificate is quick. If it is new, the product registration takes longer, so start early. We handle the whole process for you.
Do you handle customs clearance in Saudi Arabia?
Yes, in Dubai and in Saudi Arabia. We do the export papers here and clear the goods at the other end. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.
Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?
Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. That helps when you are buying from several suppliers and want everything to travel to Dammam in one container.
Can you ship machinery and building materials to Saudi Arabia?
Yes, and it is a lot of what we move on this route. Heavy and oversized items go on flatbed trucks or in open top containers. Send us the size and weight and we will work out the best way.
Can you deliver to Mecca and Medina?
Yes. We deliver to both, usually through Jeddah or King Abdullah Port and then by road. Tell us the delivery address and we will quote it.
