Shipping from Dubai
to Seychelles.

We ship from Dubai and from anywhere in the UAE to the Seychelles every week, by sea and by air. We carry business and personal cargo. The islands import almost everything they use, so reliability matters more than anything else here. We ship for businesses, hotels and families, and we get your goods there on a schedule you can plan around.

Overview

Sea and air freight
to Seychelles.

Shipping from Dubai to the Seychelles takes about 12 to 24 days by sea to Port Victoria, and 2 to 6 days by air. It is a clean Indian Ocean run with no canal and no coastal detour, so the timing is more predictable than most African routes. Port Victoria is the only commercial port and it sits beside the capital on Mahé. We deliver across Mahé, and to Praslin, La Digue and the outer islands by inter island transfer. We move food, hotel and restaurant supplies, building materials, furniture, electronics and household goods. Navo Shipping handles the sea freight, air freight and customs clearance on the Dubai to Seychelles route, door to door. Tell us which island the goods are for and we will price it properly.

Ports and gateways

Sea ports and airports
we ship to from Dubai.

Every bill of lading carries two ports: where the cargo loads, and where it discharges. We load at Jebel Ali or another UAE port. Sea cargo to the Seychelles discharges at Port Victoria, the only sea port in the country, so there is no discharge port to choose. What is worth choosing is the mode, and where the cargo clears.

  1. POLPort of loading

We collect anywhere in the UAE, free zones included, and load at whichever of these eight suits the cargo.

The right one is whichever leaves the shortest inland leg to your delivery address. On a long lane that leg is a shipment in its own right, so it is planned rather than assumed.

Import rules
for the Seychelles.

The Seychelles is one of the more straightforward places we ship to, and the honest description is that the paperwork is light rather than absent. Import licensing applies to restricted goods rather than everything, and where a licence is needed there is no fee for it. So the check we run is a real check against your product, but for ordinary goods it comes back clear. The one operational rule to know is the manifest: a vessel arriving from outside the Seychelles has to give customs the cargo list at least 24 hours before it docks. That is the same idea as advance declarations elsewhere, just lighter. We handle it.

Documentation

Documents you need
for the Seychelles.

These 7 cover most shipments to the Seychelles. The exact list depends on the commodity and its HS code, so send us both and we confirm what applies before the cargo is booked.

  • 01Invoice showing what you paid for the goods
  • 02Packing list showing what is inside
  • 03Certificate of origin showing where the goods were made
  • 04Bill of lading or air waybill, which is the shipping ticket
  • 05Dubai export paper, which we do for you
  • 06Import licence, if your product is restricted
  • 07Cargo manifest, lodged at least 24 hours before the ship docks

Get the paperwork right in Dubai and clearance at destination is routine. Fixing a document after arrival is slow, and storage accrues the whole time it takes.

How it works

Dubai to Seychelles
shipping, step by step.

Send the cargo details: what it is, where it is going, rough weight and dimensions. We come back with the routes that suit it, sea against air, and a written rate with a validity date on it. You pick one, we book it, and one coordinator stays with the shipment until it is delivered in the Seychelles.

    Tell us which island

Mahé, Praslin, La Digue or an outer island. Anything beyond Mahé is a separate transfer, so it belongs in the plan from the start.

We send you a price in writing, with every charge shown. No surprises later.

  3. 03

Questions

Cargo to Seychelles
questions, answered.

The 15 we are asked most on the Dubai to Seychelles route. If yours is not here, send it with the commodity and we will answer it directly.

Do you offer movers and packers for a house move from Dubai to Seychelles?

Yes. Our movers and packers do the packing, wrapping and listing, then we ship your furniture and household goods in a full container, or share one if you have less to send. The item by item list matters, because customs clear personal effects against it. Fuel, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols and loose batteries cannot travel, and we give you the full list before packing day.

How long does shipping from Dubai to the Seychelles take?

About 12 to 24 days by sea to Port Victoria, and 2 to 6 days by air. It is a clean Indian Ocean run, so the timing holds up well. Delivery beyond Mahé is a separate transfer we quote separately.

How much does shipping from Dubai to the Seychelles cost?

It depends on what you send, how big it is, and where in Seychelles it is going. We do not publish prices because every shipment is different. Sea freight to Seychelles is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. Air freight to Seychelles is priced on weight or size, whichever is greater. Send us the details and we send you a price in writing, usually the same day.

Do I need an import licence?

Only for restricted goods, and where one is needed there is no fee. For ordinary goods the process is genuinely light. We still check your product rather than assuming, but it usually comes back clear.

Do you deliver to Praslin and La Digue?

Yes, by inter island transfer from Port Victoria, via Praslin for La Digue. It runs on its own schedule and is a real stage, so we quote it separately rather than letting it disappear into the arrival date.

Can you deliver to the outer islands?

Yes, though we quote it per shipment because the schedule governs and some movements are chartered. Tell us the island at the start and we will set out what is actually available and when.

Do you supply hotels and restaurants?

Yes, and it is a lot of what we move here. The islands import almost everything they use, so a predictable delivery cycle matters more than a slightly cheaper one off rate. We would rather quote a realistic date and hit it.

Do you deliver door to door?

Yes. We handle freight to the Seychelles door to door. We collect the goods in Dubai, move them, clear them through customs, and bring them to your address. You deal with one company for the whole journey.

Can I send a small shipment, or do I need a full container?

You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Port Victoria. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.

Is air freight worth it to the Seychelles?

For perishables, hotel supplies and anything urgent, frequently yes. Flights from the Gulf are decent because tourism keeps the route busy. On an island that imports nearly everything, air plays a bigger role than it would on a mainland route.

Why is the timing more predictable here?

Because the route has none of the usual complications. No canal decision, no Red Sea exposure, no long coastal leg, no river port. What is left is whether the ship changes at an Indian Ocean hub, which makes a planned date more likely to hold.

Do you handle customs clearance in the Seychelles?

Yes, at both ends. We do the export papers in Dubai and clear the goods in the Seychelles. You do not need to find your own clearing agent.

Can you collect the goods from my supplier in Dubai?

Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. That helps when you are buying from several suppliers and want everything to travel to Port Victoria in one container.

Can you ship part loads?

Yes, and for a market this size it is often the sensible default. A regular shared container service is usually worth more to a Seychelles buyer than an occasional cheap full container that had to wait for a sailing.

Can you ship machinery and heavy equipment to the Seychelles?

Yes. We move project cargo to Seychelles as well. Big, heavy items go in open top or flat rack containers, or loose on the ship into Port Victoria. Send us the size and weight and we will work out the best way to move it.
