The item by item list matters, because customs clear personal effects against it. Fuel, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols and loose batteries cannot travel, and we give you the full list before packing day.

Sea freight to Timor-Leste takes about 25 to 40 days, and air freight to Timor-Leste takes 3 to 7 days. There is no direct sea service, so cargo transhipments at a Southeast Asian hub and waits for an onward connection, which is where most of that time goes. We give you a date in writing when we quote.

It depends on what you send, how big it is, and where in Timor-Leste it is going. We do not publish prices because every shipment is different. Sea freight to Timor-Leste is priced per container when you fill one, and per cubic metre when you share one. Air freight to Timor-Leste is priced on weight or size, whichever is greater. Only if it is under five years old. Vehicles more than five years old are prohibited from import into Timor-Leste. That is an outright prohibition rather than something you can apply for permission around, so check the year before you buy the car, not before you ship it. Send us the make, model, year and chassis number and we will confirm.

No. Customs have confirmed that an importer does not need a separate port authority permit merely to bring cargo through Dili Seaport. A lot of pages suggest otherwise. Commodity-specific permits can still apply depending on what you are sending.

All of them. Dili, Baucau, Maliana, Suai, Lospalos, Same, Aileu, Gleno, Liquica, Viqueque, Pante Macassar and Manatuto. The country is small, so the road leg after clearance is short. Just give us the address and we bring it to the door.

Tibar Bay is the modern container terminal serving Dili and the country. Dili Seaport also handles imports. For air cargo we fly into Presidente Nicolau Lobato International at Dili, and road cargo can enter at Batugade from Indonesian West Timor.

You can send as little as one box or one pallet. We put small shipments from different customers into one shared container. This is called LCL, or less than container load. Your goods load at Jebel Ali and come into Dili. When you have more goods, you move up to your own full container, which is called FCL. We will tell you which one is cheaper.

Yes. Road cargo can enter at Batugade from Indonesian West Timor, which is useful if your goods are already consolidating in Indonesia or when the sea connection into Dili is running badly. We confirm the corridor is open before quoting it rather than assuming.

Some do. Agriculture permits can be required for live animals and foodstuffs, and certain medicines need Ministry of Health approval. Most ordinary goods need nothing beyond the customs declaration. Send us the product and the HS code and we will check.

Yes. We collect anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE. We can also hold your goods in warehousing and storage in Dubai until you are ready to ship. On a lane this long that is genuinely useful, because it lets you consolidate properly rather than sending part loads separately.
